17 December 2017. Vat That and others

In the morning I moved rooms to get away from the 4.00 a.m cockerels and barking dogs. It getting on for midday by the time this was accomplished. With the limited time, I decided to look at a Wat that I'd passed on the way to Wat Phu. This was Wat That. It has a striking entrance with a row of shrines.
Further in, the buildings are pleasant if not so very special but the grounds are lovely.

I went on to look at a few more of the wats in Champasak.

There are plenty of them. Each small district is a 'parish' of a wat, it would appear. Each boundary is marked by a notice in its own little hut.
